Job Description:

ROLE SUMMARY:

To manage and lead Regional Sales Agents, as well as selected Massmart accounts, to ensure all agreed sales and merchandising objectives are achieved, in accordance with the Sales department’s goals and objectives. Assist in developing and implementing joint business plans that will deliver on the P&L requirements of the company to ensure volume, value, distribution and share growth within this channel.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist in developing and implementing joint business plans that will deliver on the P&L requirements of the company to ensure volume, value, distribution and share growth within this channel. 
  • Align the JBP with Corplan objectives. 
  • Manage Trade spend within the account portfolio 
  • Deliver all financial targets for selected account portfolio 
  • Conducting formal business reviews and cycle deal meetings with respective Regional Sales Agents. 
  • Achieve priority shares. 
  • Ensure Merchandiser resources are optimized, and 3rd Party Agency provides quality service at competitive terms. 
  • Manages remnants within the defined business parameters 
  • To ensure all agreed sales and merchandising objectives are achieved, in accordance with the Sales department’s goals and objectives. 
  • Ensure that all promotional activities within the region are timeously executed and communicated to relevant agents. 
  • Ensure that shelf allocation always exceeds market share and SCJ objectives. 
  • Drive distribution in the assigned regions.

Job Requirements:

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:

  • Should have multi-functional experience in Sales in an FMCG Company
    • At least 3 - 5 years in this role with proven selling track record in the Wholesale channel and or Retail accounts 
  • Knowledge of the Categories, pertinent Key Customers, and key Competitive set 
  • Proven track record of delivering objectives consistently 
  • Good customer facing experience 
  • Has negotiating experience and training 

SKILL DIMENSIONS REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION:

  • Strategic mindset, understands the strategic & tactical nature of the business. 
  • A Clear understanding of the different channel Go-To-Market principles/strategies, structures - Wholesale. 
  • Understands SC Johnson’s processes, and the interplay between the categories 
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage up and across the organization. 
  • Multi-function and multi-tasking abilities 
  • Understands “ACNielsen” syndicated data 
  • Strong Computer skills, Microsoft Office 
  • Delivers results. 
  • Manages executions diligently, with keen attention to details 
  • Working knowledge of local labor laws (relative to 3rd Party manpower management) 
  • People Leadership 
  • Team building skills 
  • Values others, and cultures 
  • Self-starter and Acts with integrity 
  • Analytical Skills
