Job Description:

Ensure that our organization’s treatment of employee’s is fair, respectful and consistent with our business values and objectives.
Support that objective, this position’s responsibilities fall into proactive and reactive categories. The individual will work to develop proactive programs that improve local and network employee relations.
Undertake a significant amount of reactive work on critical employee relations issues.
Facilitate sound labour practices and employee and management relations on behalf of Vector, ensuring a compliant and harmonious work environment.

Job Requirements:

Minimum Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in Law; or other specialized training in Labour/Employee Relations a significant plus
  • Min 8+ years of work in ER/IR role. Any additional experience outside of this field would be an added advantage. Preferably in a mid-sized organization with a specific focus on employee and labour relations.
  • 3+ years’ experience in a management role.
  • In depth knowledge of SA labour laws and practices (Understanding of Namibian Labour Law will be advantageous).
  • Demonstrated skill and experience in dealing with Bargaining Council, Unions and the CCMA
  • Experience in designing and delivering successful training programs
  • Technically proficient in MSWord, Excel & PowerPoint
