Job Description:

Role Purpose  


The Business Development Manager takes ownership of the distribution, support and the direct and indirect sales function for Underwritten Life Products within the Private Banking and Financial Advisory channels in a specific region.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with frontline bankers, advisors and channel management within the various channels to ensure alignment of product house and channel strategy
  • Grow awareness and understanding of Insurance products amongst Private Bankers, Money Managers and Financial Advisors
  • Grow understanding and provide product and marketing support for Underwritten Life Products across all channels
  • Grow market share within FNB Financial Advisory
  • Assist in building out systems and processes to ensure quality engagement with Advisors and customers
  • Create, improve and monitor customer journey from creating interest from acquisition to CVM and claims
  • Drive conversion and subsequent reporting on referrals to fulfilment channels
  • Drive adoption of banker fulfilment through the necessary systems and processes
  • Create and drive switch initiatives across all channels
  • Provide continuous feedback to internal stakeholders to ensure FNB Life is the preferred insurance provider for Private Banking customers and Financial Advisors

Job Requirements:

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in finance or related field (CFP® preferred)
  • 2+ years Financial Advice / Insurance experience
  • 5+ years Sales/ Business development experience
  • Previous exposure to banking environment (channel, product house or segment) beneficial
